Diabetes Mellitus Gestacional

✔️O Diabetes Mellitus Gestacional (DMG) está associado há um risco 7x maior de Diabetes Mellitus no futuro e aumenta o risco de doença cardiovascular em 43%!

📌 Sendo assim, é fundamental o cuidado com essa gestante, assim como o estímulo a mudança de vida (MEV).

- O tratamento com medidas não farmacológicas, como MEV, é essencial e suficiente para cerca de metade das gestantes.

- Insulina é o tratamento de primeira escolha, porém a metformina pode ser utilizada.

- Fundamental realizar monitorização glicêmica, do ganho de peso materno e do crescimento fetal.

📍Uma vez feito o diagnóstico no pré-natal, é essencial o acompanhamento com o endocrinologista.

📍E vale não esquecer: Manter acompanhamento pós parto e rastreamento para hiperglicemia nos anos subsequentes, também faz parte!
